WELCOME TO LILYDALE MONTROSE UNITED
Lilydale Montrose United (LMU) was formed in 2020, when Mount Lilydale Old Collegians Soccer Club merged with Montrose Soccer Club.
Our Senior Men, Women and Juniors play in Football Victoria's State Leagues, whilst our Thirds and Over 35 Men play in the Bayside League.
Our history dates back to 1974 when the club (just one team back then) played several friendlies against local teams such as Bowater Scott and Fibremakers United, now Croydon Ranges Football Club. The Industrial League played games on spare land behind the Fibremakers factory, on Canterbury Rd.
Tessa Furniture were the inaugural sponsors in 1975 and the team played as Tessa Town.
In 2009 our Legends team won the Bayside League Legendary Cup and won the Bayside League in 2010. In 2011 our first team won the Bayside 1st Division and earned promotion to the Premier League.
Mt Lilydale OCSC has had great success in it’s short history, twice finishing runner-up in the Bayside FA Premier League Division and taking out its first Victorian Amateur League Title in 2010. In 2015 the clubs inaugural year in the FFV State League, the Senior Men missed promotion by 4 points and finished strongly in fourth position overall and in 2018 we finished 3rd, just 3 points from promotion.
We are a not-for-profit organisation that relies on sponsorship, volunteers, community associations and our numerous members to operate.

Lilydale Montrose United respectfully acknowledges the traditional owners, the Wurundjeri people, as the custodians of this land. We pay respect to all Aboriginal community Elders, past and present, who have resided in the area and have been an integral part of the history of the region.
